Classroom Behavior Management Plan:
A color conduct chart “Bumble bee –Theme” is used in the resource class to track student’s behaviors. Each student will have a pin with his or her name. The student starts with the color “green” at the beginning of the day. If the student misbehaves his/her pin moves to yellow, then to orange and red which at this time, the parent will be contacted. For the student who has an excellent day, his/her pin moves up to purple. Any student that remains in green for the week will receive a treat from the bumble bee chest.
A color denotes:
Purple - Great Job (A Role Model) / Excellent Bee-havior
You’re buzzing high!
Green - Having a good day and Ready to learn
Full of Bee-normous knowledge
Yellow - Warning
Remember to make wise choices & think about your actions
Orange – Redirection & Refocus Time
Talk with teacher & student completes an action plan
Red - Parent Contact & Possible Office
The color received each day will be copied to a weekly behavioral reflection sheet. When the student clip moves to yellow, the student will be allowed a chance to change his or her behavior and the clip can be moved back to green. A student must remain in the color green each day to receive a treat from the bee treasure chest. When the student is on “red”, the parent will be contacted and made aware of the student’s behavior and consequence. The sheet will be kept in the student resource folder.
