Hello! I am Ms. Copeland. I am so happy to be a part of the Phenix City Elementary School family this year! I have been in education ten years and absolutely love what I do!
I provide special education services to students in grades 3 rd – 5 th in a resource room and inclusive setting. This is my sixth year teaching in the Phenix City School District. Prior to teaching in this district, I taught in a resource and inclusive classroom at the elementary school level in Muscogee County School District. I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Fort Valley State University and Collaborative Special Education certification from Columbus State University. I am certified in the state of Alabama and Georgia to teach with this certification. I have experience collaborating with East Alabama Mental Health to ensure proper transition from their programs to the school setting. I am committed to serving your child and will work to ensure that your son or daughter progress emotionally, physically and academically. I have a passion for teaching and I will do everything in my power to make our class enjoyable, meaningful and relevant. There is a lot of work to be done this year and I expect the most from each of you. I expect to challenge success, evoke thinking, promote good behavior, engage creativity, introduce information and establish a learning environment that is suitable for all students to learn. I look forward to a very prosperous and rewarding school year! |
